SprayShield FireLock Firestopping
caulks and fillers
that are highly mold
resistant are applied to every annular space around every wire and pipe that
penetrates a framing member. The firestopping caulks are certified by PFS,
(a recognized certification organization sanctioned by the International
Building Code Organization), to comply with all applicable Federal and
State building codes. Proper
application of the caulk serves to isolate each stud cavity from every other
stud cavity. If there is a mold problem in the stud wall, it cannot pass mold
spores and new colonization to adjacent stud cavities. Systematizing
the application of fire and air infiltration caulking to combat mold is an
effect way to isolate and minimize any problem that might develop.

non-toxic,
hypoallergenic coating is applied to all surfaces, wood and masonry,
between the ground at the crawlspace and the floor deck. the same
coating is applied to the wood on the interior side of the wall framing on all
floors. The
coating material, MoldBan, works like non-stick
cookware so that mold cannot attach itself and use the starches and sugars
contained in the wood for growth. Mold is also prevented from
"rooting" in the masonry. MoldBan
does not form a vapor barrier on the substrate, thought it does inhibit
the passage of water in the liquid state. GSPC
warranties, in writing, that mold will not attach itself to the substrate
where MoldBan has been applied by a GSPC
Certified Technician. A
GSPC technician examines the building and certifies in writing (if the
building meets GSPC criteria), that the building is properly designed and engineered
to resist mold. In
the unlikely event that mold becomes an issue in spite of the best efforts by
trades, the builder, and by the certified technician, GSPC will provide
expert evaluation services aimed at the lowest possible cost remediation. Should
the problem exist in the most expensive sites for remediation, (i.e., the
wood at in the exterior walls, the floor deck or wood in the exterior wall) the
GSPC warranty covers the builders cost for both materials and labor.* *see
warranty for details.

hazards of being on the job. It protects them from damage during the
construction process. When the job is complete and cleanup begins, this
material peels off easily leaving a clean, undamaged surface.
SprayShield
is the answer to a significant construction challenge, keeping non-porous
surfaces undamaged under a very trying conditions.
